"Great!"

PROS: Easy to Install,Functional,Works Great
OTHER THOUGHTS:   I love the look and feel of this toilet and it's a great fit in my small bathroom. I got the no-slam seat which is nice but the plastic feels a bit flimsy.

"Perfect toilet for a small space"

PROS: Easy to Install,Great Design,Functional,Works Great,Economy of packaging
CONS: Didn't come with a seal
OTHER THOUGHTS:   This is the only toilet I found that met all my requirements, the main one being length. I needed a round toilet of no longer than 27" and easy to install because there is next to no working room available (the Toto Aquia is small, but too tricky to install). My biggest complaint is that this model does not come in chair (ADA) height, and I would have liked that. It does not have the most recent flushing technology -- I really wanted a Toto with double cyclone, Sanagloss, and 1.28 gpf but these toilets would not fit in the space I have. Too bad. The softclose seat is a neat feature (it comes with this toilet), but it makes the seat aperture a bit smaller. What I do like a lot is how it looks -- very stylish. I have had some *occasional* problem with streaking but it seems to wash away by itself in a later flush (if you can stand to wait). One thing I *would* like to comment on is the incredible ease of this transaction with National Builder Supply. The toilets came by FedEx freight, had been masterfully packaged by the vendor, I was called to set up a delivery time, the delivery came as scheduled, and the toilets were in perfect condition. The whole process was absolutely flawless and was *far* easier than picking one up at a local retailer. This company gets 6 stars!

"This toilet does what it's supposed to do but better"

PROS: Easy to Install,Functional,Works Great,Quiet, simple, fast
OTHER THOUGHTS:   I never much gave thought to buying a toilet, I was looking to replace an old toilet in our guest bathroom with something from HD that was on sale. Then I did a little research and found that a Toto would be a nice upgrade. Well this toilet makes me make the trip down 2 flights when ever I need to use the bathroom! Its quiet and refills super fast. The bowl also stays very clean with it's powerful flush.

"Great"

PROS: Compact size. One piece design. Powerful gravity flush, does not clog like my last toilet, and I only have to flush once!
CONS: Because of compact design, toilet seat is closer to the water than other models. As a result, the female users in the house can leave a little bit of #1 on the underside of the seat. Not a major amount, nor a major concern.
OTHER THOUGHTS:   Toilet is just what I was looking for. Compact for smaller areas, with a powerful flush.

"Toto Toilet"

PROS: Though I was apprehensive about purchasing a toilet thru the internet, the process was easy and worked out great. The toilet arrived within the promised timeframe, it was well packed, and the price was the best I found anywhere. The toilet itself was just installed and works great. Toto is a great product and is the brand my plumber uses in his house. The flushing power is excellent, a huge improvement over our last toilet.
CONS: The toilet is slightly smaller than anticipated when we first pulled it from the box, but it actually fits perfectly in our small bathroom and functions great.
OTHER THOUGHTS:   I am thrilled we found the National Builder website and will be purchasing other items to finish off our new bathroom. Great service and the best prices around. Thanks.

"Great choice for small space"

PROS: Got this because it was small and we had limited space in the bathroom. Unexpected benefit was that it uses so little water but still flushes everything away. Really amazing.

REVIEW:   After you have installed a Toto, you understand why they have gained a near "cult" following. What Toto can do with 1.6 gpf is amazing. The first time you put it to the REAL test, it will all be over and GONE before you can say "Impressive". Quiet and stylish one piece design. I did the research and read the MaP testing results for all the manufacturers----overall Toto's the one to beat.

REVIEW:   This toilet is awesome. For years and years I've pretty much resigned myself to using a plunger after every, ah, well, you know. The Toto changed all that. Powerful flush, lovely one-piece design, and trivial install make this the toilet to have.

REVIEW:   My only qualm about this Toto low flush toilet is that while the flush is extremely effective at removing solids in the water, any bits of effluent above the waterline may not be washed down the drain as well.

REVIEW:   We have gone around our house and replaced all our older toilets with this toilet. After buying one for a remodel, we fell in love with it (as much as one can fall in love with their toilet) and bought two more. It truly is the best flush out there. And the softclose is tremendous. The problem now is that we're so used to it we wind up accidentally slamming other peoples' toilets because we're so used to the softclose. The variable flush is great too - press and release for a small flush; press and hold for a large flush. Works better than any other toilet I've used (commercial included).

REVIEW:   This is the best toilet we have ever used. Forget the Home Depot / Lowes product line, Toto makes the best products money can buy. When we remodel our guest bath, we will be ordering another Toto. Quality products and a great price are a great combination. Also, the oversize flush valve makes what used to be a flushing nightmare seem like a power assist flush with no extra install work. Thanks, Toto!

REVIEW:   We have been using this washlet for almost 2 years at our New Orleans home. It survived hurricane Katrina in flying colors. So far no problems. Excellent performance. At first I was skeptical about the deodorizer component. Well, it actually works reasonably well. However, you still need the exhaust fan. Air dryer is a waste, you can not dispense with the toilet tissue. Whole family loves the heated seat and heated water. The installation was somewhat harder than I expected. I blame it on the poor instruction manual.

REVIEW:   I do not like this toilet at all. It constantly overflows. Others on our block have one too and they all have had problems with it. If you have kids in the house do not buy one of these! The seat has already broken from the flimsy plastic lid.

REVIEW:   Anyone who says the Toto Ultramax does not flush well either has a defective toilet or a defective drain system in their house. This thing flat-out FLUSHES! I've only had to plunge mine once, and that was when I first got it and was trying to see how much it could flush. After 2 years, however, the fill valve started leaking last night.

REVIEW:   I don't typically give much thought to toilets. Yet ten years of dealing with non-flushing incidents (from our 1.6gal units that our house came with) made me realize that there must be something better. while I still don't like thinking about toilets much, and never thought I'd have much to say about them... now you can't shut me up. Fortunately, several friends and family members have installed the Ultramax in the past couple of years, and have had nothing but great things to say about them. (And I always enjoyed playing with the soft-close lids when I visited) After no small amount of research, I figured out why so many folks were buying these - so my decision was pretty simple. I bit the bullet and bought three with the SG coating (I figure after this much money, why not go all out?). They were surprisingly simple to install (low-profile tank helped in carrying them single-handedly to the second floor) and I put them all in with no other help. Quite simply, they work exactly as advertised. When all done, the flush doesn't seem like much to write home about. It is quick, quiet, and with little drama. But use the toilet as intended, and you'll quickly see why seemingly normal people all of a sudden get passionate about their toilets! These work - simple as that. I don't give a darn what a toilet looks like. I'm just not into toilet fashion. And while I don't find these things any more offensive than any other toilet - all I really care about is function. Did I mention that these just WORK? The great soft-close seat is just icing on the cake (OK, bad analogy for a toilet, but you get the idea). Only one tip I can offer. Before the first REAL use, flush it once. It takes one flush to prime the siphon (the first flush mostly just fills trap, and doesn't do the full process.) From the second flush on, you are ready for action. Toilets. Who would have though? I don't write too many reviews, and I write one on toilets. What can I say? These are that good.

REVIEW:   I was so impressed with the reviews, I bought 2 of them. I've had the toilets 2 days now and I think they are great. But my kids (grown) were able to clog each toilet up with paper. I've had to use the plunger twice in 2 days. It was installed by a construction worker. When there is the normal amount of paper in it, there is no problem and it seems to flush rapidly. I think the installation is correct. Too much paper most likely overwhelms the size of the drain

REVIEW:   All of our 4 kids are out of the house. But it seemed when either of our 2 daughters would come home, we would have toilet incidents. Overflowing stuffed up toilets. If they were home you could count on a toilet overflowing. Bought our first UltraMax in Dec.04.Installed it in the bathroom the girls use when they are home. Got it's first test over Xmas. Came through with flying colors. Bought a second UltraMax the first week of 2005 for the downstairs bathroom. It's now Dec. 2008 and my wife has been hounding me to get a Toto for the master bathroom. So, I am about to order our 3rd UltraMax. Have had no stopped/overflowing toilet incidents in either of the Toto's. I am by no means the handiest or stongest guy on the block. But, I installed both toilets by myself with no problems at all.
